How to Choose a Creative Agency in Cairo That Proves Sales
Use this to build a shortlist of Cairo agencies, question each one before signing, and score the final two or three on evidence instead of polish.

You will find real candidates for a creative agency in Cairo in three places: the agency homepages that fill search page one, directories such as Digital Agency Network and Sortlist, and published agency rankings. One check separates a strong candidate from a weak one. Ask each agency to walk you through a past campaign from the ad to the sale, with the conversion number that moved. An ad can only perform as well as the page, form or WhatsApp chat it sends people to. The agency worth paying designs and measures both halves. A reel of beautiful ads pointing at someone else's leaky checkout shows you the agency's taste. It does not show you results.
Where Credible Candidates Turn Up
Each source gives you names. None of them gives you proof, so treat every one as the start of a longlist.
- Agency homepages. A homepage that ranks for this search proves the agency invests in its own visibility. It leaves open whether its clients' campaigns made money. You will usually have to request a quote rather than find one listed.
- Directories. A listing on Digital Agency Network or Sortlist tells you the agency exists and which services it claims, such as web design, SEO or social media. Nothing in the listing tests those claims.
- Ranked lists. A ranking is only as useful as its method, so ask what the order is based on: client results, reviews or paid placement. We publish ROAS-verified rankings of top agencies in Egypt and MENA, where ROAS means return on ad spend. Revenue measured against spend is the one ranking input an agency cannot style its way into.
The Checks That Separate Strong From Weak
Every row below is something you can verify before you sign.
| What to check | Evidence to ask for | What a weak candidate shows instead |
|---|---|---|
| Conversion results per campaign | A case that names the metric that moved (bookings, leads, mobile conversions) and the period | Views, reach and likes with no sales figure |
| Ownership of the conversion path | Landing page, booking flow or UX work inside the same case as the ads | "Your web team handles the site" |
| Measurement agreed before creative | A tracking and attribution plan in the proposal | Reporting promised "after launch" |
| Production capacity | In-house shoots and motion, or a named production setup | Every video subcontracted job by job |
| Arabic and regional fluency | Native Arabic copy, Arabic SEO, formats built for Meta, Google and TikTok | English concepts translated at the end |
| Testing cadence | Several variants per concept and a rule for retiring the losers | One "hero" ad per campaign |
Give the second row the most attention. An advertising agency that only makes the ads will report click-through rate, because that is the last number it controls. An agency that also builds the page has to answer for what happens after the click.
You will likely live with this choice for years. The average media agency review cycle in Egypt is 4.3 years, against a global average of 4.8 years (COMvergence). If you sell online, the same table applies, with checkout completion as the metric. Our e-commerce marketing service for Egypt and MENA is a useful page to hold up against it.
What Moves the Cost of Creative Work
These drivers set what you pay, whoever you hire.
| Cost driver | How it moves the cost | What you control or can ask |
|---|---|---|
| Formats and placements | Each aspect ratio and channel cut is its own edit | Pick channels before the brief, not after the shoot |
| Production type | Live shoots cost more than motion graphics, and motion costs more than static | Ask which concepts need a shoot and which can run as motion |
| Language versions | Arabic and English need separate copy, voiceover and edits | Ask whether the Arabic is written natively or translated |
| Brand foundation | Ads made without an identity system mean rework later | Settle identity first, with the same team or a brand identity agency |
| Review rounds | Regulated categories add legal and compliance passes | Agree the approval chain and the number of rounds in writing |
| Testing volume | More variants a month means more production | Ask how many variants the budget funds and how winners get chosen |
| Conversion path scope | Landing page or UX work adds design and build | Ask whether it is in scope or assumed to be yours |
Regulated categories feel the review-rounds row most sharply. Our bank marketing playbook covers how that plays out for financial brands.
The main trade-off sits between the last two rows and the quote total. Egypt had 96.3 million internet users at the start of 2025, an online penetration of 81.9 percent (DataReportal). The audience is already there. What you are paying for is enough tested variants, and a working page behind them, to find the message that converts it. A cheaper quote usually gets cheaper by cutting one of those two things, so ask which one it cut.
Questions to Put to Every Candidate
Which number did your last campaign move?
A convincing answer names one metric, the period, and how it was measured: booking completions tracked to the ad set, leads matched in a CRM, or mobile checkout rate before and after. A weak answer reaches for impressions or "brand awareness," then turns vague when you ask what sold.
Who builds the page the ad sends people to?
A strong answer sounds like "we do, and here is a case where we changed the page and the ad together." The red flag is an agency that treats the landing page as your problem. If the page is your problem, every drop-off after the click is your problem too.
What gets tested in the first month, and what gets cut?
Good answers describe the variants per concept, the signal used to retire a loser, and the point at which budget shifts to the winner. A single concept presented as finished turns your budget into a bet on the agency's first idea.
Who writes the Arabic, and for which audience?
The strong version is copy written in Arabic from the brief and matched to the market (Egyptian dialect for a Cairo launch, Gulf for Riyadh), with Arabic search terms researched separately. The weak version is English concepts translated after approval. Hooks also shift by category, and our beverage marketing guide for Egypt and MENA shows how far a drinks launch sits from a finance app.
A Weighted Scorecard for the Final Three
| Criterion | Weight | How to score it (1 to 5) | Your score |
|---|---|---|---|
| Conversion results per campaign | 6 | 1 = engagement metrics only; 5 = a named sales or lead metric, period and measurement method | |
| Ownership of the conversion path | 4 | 1 = ads only; 5 = landing page or UX change inside the same case | |
| Measurement agreed before creative | 4 | 1 = reporting after launch; 5 = written tracking plan in the proposal | |
| Testing cadence | 3 | 1 = one ad per campaign; 5 = a stated variant plan and retirement rule | |
| Production and Arabic fluency | 3 | 1 = outsourced and translated; 5 = in-house production and native Arabic copy |
Multiply each score by its weight and add the results; the total runs from 20 to 100. A finalist who scores high only on the last row has polish without proof. When two totals land close together, break the tie in favour of the one that answered the conversion question in writing.
The weights lean on conversion because the audience is crowded. More than 26 million Egyptians live in Greater Cairo, according to CAPMAS figures reported by Campaign Middle East, and the competition for their attention is fierce. Adjust the weights to your funnel. A developer selling units through forms and calls might move a point from testing to conversion-path ownership, which our real estate marketing playbook explains in detail.
Where EKO Innovations Fits
EKO Innovations was founded in 2018 from a small office in Mohandeseen, Cairo, with a single mandate: marketing measured in revenue, not vanity (our story). That mandate is the scorecard's top row, and we built the studio to answer for it.
Our creative team handles creative content, ad creatives and art direction. The same studio does UX design: user journeys, UI systems and conversion UX. Traffic then runs through Meta, Google and TikTok paid campaigns with optimization. Our process has four steps: audit and strategy, build the conversion path, launch and test, then optimize and scale (our process). We tailor strategies by industry, including aviation, automotive, fintech, healthcare, real estate, hospitality and government.
| Case | Result on record | Page |
|---|---|---|
| EKO case average | A 67% average conversion rate lift | Our story |
| Cairo fashion label | Drew 2.4M TikTok views in 30 days with native creator content | Social media work |
| Nile Air | The redesign of its booking platform reduced booking abandonment by 47% and increased mobile conversions by 68% | Our work |
Hold us to our own card. The fashion label row is a reach result and would score lower on conversion. The Nile Air row is the one to ask us about first, because there the ads and the booking flow were judged on the same number.
Send us your last campaign's numbers and the page it pointed to through our contact page. You can also email hello@ekoads.com, call +20 1151110578, or visit 1 Falouga Street, Mohandeseen, Giza, Egypt.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should a Cairo creative agency shoot video in-house?
In-house production shortens the loop between a test result and the next variant. When a hook underperforms on Tuesday, a team with its own shoot and edit capacity can have a replacement live within the testing window, instead of waiting for an outside crew's schedule. We brought photo, video and motion production in-house in 2022. Our photo and video sessions cover product shots and corporate headshots. On the scorecard, count in-house production as a strength only if the agency also shows the testing plan that production feeds.
What if our customers buy over WhatsApp instead of a website?
Then the WhatsApp chat is your conversion path, and it deserves the same scrutiny as a landing page. Ask who writes the first automated reply, how leads get qualified, and how a chat that turns into a sale is traced back to the ad that started it. We build AI chatbots and WhatsApp automation. Score a candidate on whether its case studies show the chat side measured, not only the clicks that opened it.
Does AI change what a creative agency should deliver?
It changes how fast variants get produced and how budget follows them, and it raises the bar on measurement. We have run in-house AI workflows for ad creative, SEO and attribution since 2024. When a candidate mentions AI, ask what it decides automatically, what a person still approves, and which conversion metric the model is told to optimize toward.
